Experience of a Consultation and Therapy

  • This is an opportunity for us to briefly meet and address any questions you may have about starting therapy.

During the consultation, I will ask follow-up questions to determine if the services I offer align with your needs. If, by the end of the consultation, we find that my services might not be the best fit, I will provide recommendations that could better suit your needs.

  • Since this practice is exclusively virtual, I provide services for individuals in Washington state via telehealth.

  • We will meet for a video call through a HIPAA compliant platform from the comfort of your own space. It offers the convenience of accessing therapy at a time convenient for you, anywhere within WA state, making therapy more accessible and adaptable to your lifestyle.

Just as if you were coming to a session in office, this time should be dedicated time for yourself. Please make sure that you are in a quiet location, free from distractions, where you have enough privacy to say anything you want to in session.

  • Unfortunately, at this time I can only work with individuals who are physically in the state of Washington for our sessions.

Once the Counseling Compact is enacted in 2024, I will be pursing counseling privileges in multiple other states, so please check back at a later date.

  • While I enjoy working with women professionals, I bring valuable experience working with women across generations, life stages, and diverse cultural backgrounds, ranging from Gen Z to Gen X (ages 20 to 55).

  • Absolutely! Though I specialize in EMDR Therapy, I am trained in a variety of therapy methods and modalities. These include:

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

    • Culturally Sensitive

    • Faith Based Approaches

    • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

    • Person Centered

    • Trauma Informed

    • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

    • Strengths Based

  • Our first therapy session is a time for us to get to know each other. I will be asking more questions than usual in order to gather information on your history. This will also be a time to see if we continue to feel like a good fit, as well to make sure that I am the right therapist to help with your needs.

  • I understand that schedules can change. Please try as best as you can to inform me as soon as possible if there is a scheduling conflict.

CANCELATION POLICY: Clients will be charged the full fee for cancelled or rescheduled sessions with less than 48 hours’ notice. A session that is not attended and was not provided with a cancelation/ reschedule notice, also referred to as a no-show, will also be charged the session full fee.

Many insurance companies provide out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to understand what reimbursement options may be available.

  • A Good Faith Estimate for mental health services is a document which outlines the estimated costs you might incur during your therapy process, including session fees, assessment costs, and any additional charges. This helps you understand and plan for the financial aspects of your mental health care, ensuring transparency and empowering you to make informed decisions about your care.
